Company Background Hardre Knitwear is a well established company, engaged in the design and manufacture of ladies, men's and children's outerwear. The company was established in 1972, and is now owned by the second generation of the Harbot family. Employing fifteen people at its own central Leicester premises, Hardre Knitwear produces seven gauge flat frame knitwear using electronic knitting machines. The majority of machines are computer controlled, giving greater speed and flexibility to our production, enabling us to supply both large and small quantities in short lead times. Production - comprises of ladies tops, skirts, dresses, suits and jumpers, in styles ranging from classixcal to young high fashion. Our classic mens range is increasingly popular. All designs are manufactured in a diverse range of both natural and man made yarns. Recent additions to our production, are screen printing and embroidery on to knitted garments. Hardre Knitwear has gained a good reputation fopr both men's and ladies outsize knitwear. All products are in the medium to upper price range with an emphasis on the quality and design content. Normal delivery times for runs between 200 and 3,600 pieces are 3-5 weeks subject to availability of yarns. The company is particularly strong in responding to urgent requests for limited production runs, required at short notice without loss of quality.
